Outside Thoughts on Illegal Immigration
You all know how fervently I am opposed to illegal immigration and mass, unchecked immigration, whether legal or illegal. I haven't had time lately to write my own posts, but I have been reading what others have written, and I must say that Kim du Toit has written a real hum-dinger about illegal immigration. Titled Stemming the Tide, Mr. du Toit's article goes into wonderful detail about how illegal immigration threatens us as a nation. The comments left on his site, nearly always made by articulate and well-spoken individuals, have only served to add to the shine that is this gem of a piece. I encourage you to read not only the article but also the comments because they will expand on what Mr. du Toit has said and provide you with another frame of reference (his commenters are located around the country and have as varied an ethnic and racial persuasion as any to be found in our most “diverse” cities).
I recently came across another article that also discusses the dangers that mass immigration, specifically Mexican illegal immigration, poses for the U.S. Once things have settled down a bit in my life, I hope to write up a little blurb about that article and add my own two cents to the mix. In the meantime, please enjoy Mr. du Toit's article!
