Yet Another Reason to Close Our Borders

Though most large newspapers are incredibly biased to the Left, I was pleased to see this Washington Times article about illegal immigration and the effect of our unsecure and porous border with Mexico on the security of our Nation.

As many of you who have read my blog for any time are already aware, I am sick and tired of illegal aliens traipsing across our border and then leeching off the American taxpayer for social services and preferential treatment because they are “minorities,” all the while being paid under-the-table in *unreported* (read *untaxed*) cash by their “employers,” flooding our hospital emergency rooms for basic medical services because they know they cannot be turned away, bankrupting the hospitals because they have no insurance and cannot pay their medical bills, demanding rights that are supposed to be restricted to citizens, forcing lifelong American citizens to speak a foreign language in our own country just to communicate, calling lifelong American citizens bigoted and racially prejudiced because we wish to defend and promote our AMERICAN culture in AMERICA, and on and on and on.

I am so happy to finally see a large, major newspaper pointing out the dangers to our homeland security of having unsealed and unsecure borders.

In spite of information in the article, I have no doubt that our country will continue with “business as usual” and do nothing to secure our borders and crack down on illegal aliens. It saddens me that my personal belief is that if anything is ever to be done about this increasingly obvious problem, it will only come after another 9/11 or perhaps even two more 9/11. Heck, it may never come at all. And that, my friends, frightens me.

I have absolutely no confidence or trust in our government when it comes to illegal immigration regardless of which party takes the White House in January. President Bush has already bent over backwards in support of illegal aliens and has caused a tremendous spike in illegal immigration due to his flippant discussion of amnesty earlier this year, and we know that the Dems love to court the “minority” vote and would be doing everything in their power to encourage more “minorities” to come to this country by any means possible.

It is sad, but quite true. The outlook for our country (with regards to illegal immigration) looks very bleak, indeed.

I agree with you 100%

I also don't only wish that they would close the borders but also start deporting all the illegals they can find. And impose fines on employers that are paying these people under the table and not paying taxes. It's criminal that most working people cannot afford health care when these freeloaders come here and leech off our system.
