Costa Mesa Immigration Enforcement Elicits Anger

It's about time at least one city in the U.S. had the courage to take matters into it's own hands to enforce immigration laws that our federal government seems intent on ignoring. The city at the center of the turmoil is Costa Mesa, located in Southern California's well-known Orange County.

According to the LA Times ...

A 3-2 vote last month to train police officers to work with federal immigration officials and sheriff's deputies to determine the immigration status of suspects arrested for other crimes has made the city a battleground in the national controversy over immigration policy.

It was actually the mayor of Costa Mesa, Allan Mansoor, who proposed the idea that Costa Mesa begin enforcing federal immigration law.

"The public has been demanding this," said Mansoor, who is also an Orange County sheriff's deputy.

I, for one, am extremely pleased at what's happening in Costa Mesa. Quite frankly, I don't give a rat's patootie about the ruckus being caused by "immigrant activists/supporters." Anyone with any shred of intelligence can see that these people calling themselves "immigrant activists" or "immigrant supporters" are really only supporters of ILLEGAL immigrants. I have yet to hear of a case where these "immigrant activists" came out to support immigrants who are in the U.S. legally. The fact that they are so loud-mouthed and violent only serves to make them appear idiotic to the rest of the world.

I say "bravo" to Mayor Mansoor for having the guts to stand up for what the people of his city want. It's about time someone listened to the citizens and legal residents of this country instead of kow-towing to illegal aliens and the illegal alien activist groups.

You can read up on the story at the LA Times, Fox News, and the San Diego Union Tribune.

Maybe more communities will follow suit. It's good to see that someone is trying to do something about it.

OMG A 3-2 vote last month to train police officers to work with federal immigration officials and sheriff's deputies - How dare they? I thought that Democrats in California had outlawed this! Heh!

what is your obssession with immigrants? you dont have more important things to worry about in your life than immigration laws? god forbid any immigrants come into the good old USA and work all the low lever crap jobs that americans refuse to touch like sweeping floors and bussing tables.

Uh huh. Sure. Go ahead and convince yourself that this country doesn't have an incredible problem with illegal immigration, "vlad."

You're like every other illegal immigration advocate I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with ... you never distinguish between ILLEGAL immigration and LEGAL immigration. It's oh-so-typical of people of your ilk to deliberately blur the line between the two different types of immigration and then start telling people who are against ILLEGAL immigration that they are racist and prejudiced. Really, I'll bet you don't give a damn about LEGAL immigrants. I'll just bet that your entire agenda is to be a proponent of illegal immigration.

By the way, you holier-than-though idiot, you'd better check your facts and quite spouting absolute statements such as "Americans won't touch low level jobs like sweeping floors and bussing tables." I know plenty of good, honest, American citizens who have done just such work and were not above it. In fact, my father started his own small business where he goes out and cleans other people's homes. So don't sit there and try to convince me, or any other person with an IQ above 70, that Americans won't work "crap jobs." Just because you can make up a statement that sounds like it supports your position doesn't make it true.

P.S., I'd suggest you go back to the first or second grade and relearn the basics of written English. Clearly, you didn't retain such concepts as capitalizing the first word of a sentence and spelling words properly (e.g., your use of "lever" instead of "level" and "obssession" instead of "obsession"). Your low level of educational achievement really shines through there, genius.
