Autumn Color Part VIII
For this week's installment of "Autumn Color in California," I've decided to stop showing the photos for prior weeks. The web pages had become too bulky, cumbersome, and long when showing all the other photos, and I have yet to find a slideshow program that I like and works well within my blogging platform. Consequently, I've resorted to showing just this week's photos in this entry. If you want to compare them to previous weeks, please see my last posting, Autumn Color Part VII, which contains a chronological view of all the other photos.
Really not much change is there? Will these leaves ever turn brown and just fall off the tree?
Posted by: Bruce on November 28, 2006 12:42 PMHa ha, Bruce, too funny!
Yes, they will fall off the tree. In fact, you can't see it in the photos, but the trees are already *slowly* losing their leaves. Our streets are now lined with leaves. Actually, though, the leaves don't turn brown before they fall. They retain their colors even after falling. The only thing that happens to them on the ground is they dry out.
Posted by: Kasey on November 28, 2006 01:19 PMReds are my favourite fall leaf colour and these are truly beautiful. It is interesting to note how slowly your trees lose their leaves. Ours are much quicker and it seems like bare moments, although it's days, between full leaf colour and bare brown branches.
Very pretty photos, Kasey. Thank you!
